MadMax: Luna, I thought it was a good film.   I enjoyed it but I am a christian.   Did you watch Braveheart?  The entire movie, Passion of the Christ is analogous to the last 15 minutes of Braveheart.

I have never seen Braveheart... well, except for the one clip the Sea Wolves insist on showing at the end of every game they win. Wallace rallies the troops after a gory battle (judging from the blood on his person, etc).

I've also had one person liken it to the opening war scene in “Saving Private Ryan“. That movie, though I enjoyed it, was a bit too realistic and gory for me. 

The jury is still out on *if* I'll see Passion. I can tell you if I choose to eventually view the film, it will be in the comfort of my own home, either through video rental or HBO, etc.
