Okay, I'm gonna say just a couple of things more about the Sopranos - although I could talk forever - but to do so would make me seem obsessed, which actually I am.
First, if Michael Imperioli and that chick that plays Adrianna don't get the recognition they deserve for their roles, something's horribly awry. The scene where Christopher went nuts and almost strangled her to death had me on the edge of my seat while screaming NO NO NO! loudly enough to frighten my dog.
The expression on Christopher's face as he stands beside his Hummer while watching the hillbilly family at the gas station was unbelievable. All the veiled emotions as he compared what he was seeing to what he and Adrianna might face if they went into witness protection was so poignant.
I wish we could have seen (perhaps in flashback) what Christopher told Tony and how he reacted. And what about Silvio?! He was so cool, so honest...even though I knew what was fixing to happen I kept thinking it wasn't so. I think the little daydream that Adrianna had where she was driving and her suitcase was beside her was very telling. I believe she knew at that moment that she had missed her chance to escape and knew what was about to happen...but it was too late.
I guess we know now how Adrianna is gonna be able to be Joey's sister, huh?
And yes, I do realize these are not real people but only actors playing real people and therefore not worthy of being analyzed so deeply nor with such fervor but I just can't help it.
