Hmmm.  “The Littlest Groom”.  What can one say?  A good-looking little man narrows down the field from twelve somewhat-attractive little women to five...and just when he's getting comfortable with his choices, in walks three gorgeous tall women to join in the catfight.  Uh, kittenfight.

Those little women are short in stature but big in attitude.  I get a feeling they wouldn't think twice about cutting off one of their competitors at the knees.

The show was quite simply strange from beginning to end.  And what's even weirder is that last night was the first episode and next week will be the finale.  Now that's a really short season.

Oh my, I'm on a roll.

after watching more of the apprentice.. it too, is staged.   Why would these self-made millionaires be competing for a measlly $250,000/ salary?

It is staged.

Mad, those folks are not millionaires, self-made or not.  A number of them are working at jobs that actually pay very little.  Some work for themselves, some work for others but the common thread is (supposed to be) they are driven, creative, highly-motivated individuals who (for some reason) would want a high-powered, high-stress job working for The Donald.

I don't really believe the show is “staged” but I do believe that Burnett and Trump together are manipulating the challenges and firings in such a way as to make the show as watchable as it can possibly be.  The jobs in the beginning when the teams were boy versus girl were heavily slanted to favor the women by giving them opportunities to use their...uh, womanhood...to their advantage.  Omarosa should have been fired weeks ago, but I feel very strongly that she was deliberately kept around because her craziness and volatility made for good viewing.

That aside though, I love it.
