When is the best time to plant roses? Are there any types that are better than the others? I know you plant trees in February. I  wanted to get a nice gardening area started.

We planted ours in early spring.  We planted rose trees instead of bushes.  Ours (2) are called Peace.  We have had several years and they have been fantastic.  I cut them back mainly late fall.  This year, when we have a few warm days,  I have had a bloom on one! I do NOT have a green thumb but these have been great.

Thanks for the help! I myself do not have a green thumb. I wish I did. I just look at a plant and it dies.
