The newsman is showing scenes from Bush and Kerry speeches that followed the last debate, along with scenes from their post debate ads.  He showed bites from each wherein they are playing fast and loose with the truth.  Bush talked about Kerry voting a certain way on legislation that Republicans voted the same way on.  Kerry lays the blame for contaminated batches of flu vaccine squarely at Bush's feet.

The point is, he points out that the real loser is the truth.  Hmm.  Who did we hear say that before?  Who could it have been?  Hmmm.  Could it be, er, perhaps it was, could it have been... ME!  (Don't ya just love playing the “I told you so” game?)
