On my way into work this weekend I saw a cop pull over some family in a 1980's junker on Highway 71 in Robertsdale.   I saw the car from a 1/2 mil back and they were not speeding excessively.  My complaint is this:  Why are the local City cops patrolling the backroads and harrassing all of the locals that are now forced onto those backroads instead of ticketing those people with expendable incomes that are traveling to the gulf?!?!

This Makes NO Sense to me!!

The reason why they do that is that traffic is at a standstill on the main highways so they are unlikely to get speeders.  Even tho, i would prefer police to ticket out-of-towners and not locals.
