I've seen plenty that look really good  and others that look like stewed squash ....

Maybe those were supposed to BE stewed squash...?

My first one - way back when I was but a youngster - was a butterfly but not well-done.  I had a do-over (I believe the technical term is coverup) by a more skilled artist and am now pleased.  Artists have come a long way since many years ago and most now are extremely talented.  I guess as popularity has grown, so has the field of talent.

Piercings still kind of freak me out, but much is dependent on where exactly they are.  Piercings in the face distract me so much when I'm talking to someone with them that I can hardly pay attention to what they're saying.

As a pierced and tattooed person, obviously I like them. I've had most of my piercings since before it became the real “hip” thing to do... My tattoo is a fairly recent addition to my body. I've had it for about 2 years now, with plans to get at least one more. I took years to decide the design for my first tattoo... almost 10 years (well, from the time I was a legal 18). Because they are permanent, they have to be just right. Which is why I haven't added any new ones... not until I have a meaningful design I don't mind being stuck with for the rest of my life.

Tattoos ARE addictive, Luna.  Few people have only one.  You get one...you like it...you want more.  Like cats.  ;)

(Yeah, I'm waiting for the comments about that freaky old tattooed lady with all the cats...)
