See the Latest Posts link at the top of the forum entry page. This will allow you to more easily respond to forum activity, especially across forum subject boundaries. Also, we've added a popup notification window ala TTT to show the presence of new private messages. More to come, soon! anomaly

Story telling

Anomaly, Do you have any objections to us using a thread to post a fictious story , made up entirely as we go ? Anyone may participate and add posts using characters they choose . The rules will follow those of the forum, meaning no obscenities ,etc . Each writer will be allowed to write in as only one character and will provide a description of their character before entering the story. No one may edit or change anyone else's post nor may they change anyone else's character. Once a post is written it remains as written unless change is needed to follow a previous post by someone .( perhaps in the case that for example : I post and Frolix happens to have made a post only minutes before I do ) . I would have to change my post in order to follow her lead . If any of this makes sense . ( PLEASE EXPLAIN IT TO ME SO I'LL UNDERSTAND WHAT I'M TRYING TO EXPLAIN.. ) I think we could all have some fun with this and can take any direction possible ,, Scifi , mystery, drama , comedy, any direction we choose .

May I make a suggestion?

Hello, This is Lisa, I'm new here to the forums and I realized I posted my first message under (teens) I did not mean to, I'm not a teen I was looking at Annoucements. I think it would be cool to have a members welcome section , were new members can post and we can all welcome them to the forum. I also like to cook so I think it would be great if there was a section were we can share recipies. I hope you don't mind me posting a couple of ideas. My self-imposed March deadline is quickly approaching and everything is shaping up as planned. One of the issues I've been struggling with is how to raise awareness of the site. I am personally disgusted by the idea of papering cars in parking lots with flyers and other forms of irritating advertising ploys. So, I refuse to resort to “gimmick” forms of advertising such as this. I've contacted companies about Billboards and about slides at local movie theaters. Neither have resulted in much luck. Any suggestions that you folks may have to raise community awareness of the site, is greatly appreciated! Your ultimate acceptance of the site will make or break it's success.. help us to spread the word! Thanks for visiting! anomaly

Well.. I have plenty of 75% things done for the site. Job Profile Listings, Recipe Exchange, Personals.. Work and life schedule has gotten in the way the last few weeks. I should have some time to get some things pushed out here this week or the next... Again, your feedback is welcome!

I finally got the portion of the forum that allows uploading of a “gallery” of canned user pictures (avatars) to be uploaded. I uploaded a handful and will add some more in the coming weeks. anomaly

I'm a property owner who lives out of state, and I thing this site is a great idea. Personally, it allows me to keep in touch with issues in the GS area. Thanks DanB :cool:

Did some graphics work on the header to clean up the images. Resized the header and header tables so that nav row can be wider. Added “Hot Forums“ feature to the forums front page. (thanks for the input Pixie!) Fixed “Hot Forums” forum repeat bug Changed avatar upload to no longer allow external links (security reasons) Changed avatar upload to store avatars in personal directory Changed wording of avatar upload features on the forum profiles pages Added code to resize avatar images on upload ( not working yet) Changed the look/feel of the interest station forums gateway.
